2018 Taichung Railway Station Project
Location: Former Train Conductor’s Lounge, Taichung Station

To mark the completion of Taichung’s new elevated railway station, this work takes the city’s history—growing outward from the train station—as its point of departure.

Using hand-carved stamps as the medium, the piece begins with a railway-shaped stamp that spans the walls of the conductor’s lounge, symbolizing the train tracks. From there, house-shaped geometric stamps radiate outward, tracing the city’s expansion from the rail center. Eventually, the entire space—walls and ceiling—is covered in stamped houses, mapping Taichung’s urban development in layers of ink and repetition.

2018台中火車站高架化新站落成，作品地點在原車長休息室。

 

以台中從火車站為中心向外發展的歷史為出發，使用印章為創作媒材，先用鐵軌形狀的印章蓋出橫跨車長室牆面的鐵道，再用幾何四邊形的房子印章，由鐵道中心向外發散，蓋出台中城市發展脈絡，最終用房子蓋滿車長室的所有牆面及天花板。
